Testing Session

Service Description

Sessions begin at 9-10 am and will finish around 1 pm. On arrival, we’ll collect a urine sample to test for pregnancy and recent substance use (we appreciate that substances may be detectable for several days after use, so a positive test is not exclusionary), and a blood sample for hormone analysis. After completing baseline measures (blood pressure, self-reported mood), you’ll be given capsules to consume that may contain active drug or placebo. You're then free to relax in our rooms and can watch TV, read, use your laptop, etc. We'll monitor your heart rate and blood pressure and ask you to complete questionnaires to rate your mood and any drug effects at 30 min intervals. At the end of the session (max 3h after taking the capsules), we’ll check your heart rate and blood pressure to make sure they're within the usual range, and then you can leave.
