Service Description

The purpose of this visit is to make sure that it is safe for you to participate in the research and involves: 1. A brief structured interview to obtain information on your current health, medical history, and use of alcohol and other substances. 2. A basic medical to measure your height, weight, blood pressure, and heart activity with an electrocardiogram (EKG). An EKG is a common and painless test that records electrical signals in the heart to quickly monitor the heart's health. Our study physician will review your EKG and medical information to ensure your safety in the study. If any safety concerns are identified during the visit and you are not able to participate in a study, we will compensate you $10 for your time.
