There's only one thing the HAPPYlabbers love more than a good experiment and that's making friends (and telling them about our experiments). As a publicly funded lab, we are committed to education and training, especially of in our community.
UIC College Prep High School invited the Center for Alcohol Research in Epigenetics (CARE) faculty and trainees to visit their science classrooms, deliver presentations and lectures regarding the neuroscience of drug use, as well as discuss the possibility of careers in science and research.

On this day in May, 15-18 students from UIC College Preparatory visited the Center For Alcohol Research in Epigentics (CARE) and attended lectures given by our very own Dr. Emma Childs, Dr. Emir Malovic, Dr. Lindsay Ramirez, Dr. Karl Bosque-Cordero, and Dr. Natania Crane. They then took tours of the various labs within the UIC Alcohol Research Center.
