Screening Visit

Service Description

The purpose of this visit is to make sure that it is safe for you to participate in the research. The visit involves: 1. A brief structured interview to obtain information on your current health, medical history, and use of alcohol and other substances lasting approx. 30-60min. 2. A brief medical to measure your height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and heart activity with an electrocardiogram (EKG). An EKG is a common and painless test that records electrical signals in the heart to monitor the heart's health quickly. Our study physician will review your EKG and medical information to ensure your safety in the study. If any safety concerns are identified during the screening that means it is not advisable for you to participate in the study, we will compensate you $10 for your time and gift you a much coveted Happylab bag’o'swag.
